A lot of people wants to have children but what are their real intention to get married and have children ?

I once heard a man saying he want to have kids because he is no longer young and he want to have children to look after his retirement. After listening to what he say really turn me off .

We are also someone children , 60-80s generations tends to be obligated to take care of their parents during old age . But now more and more wise parents are becoming more independent during old age and financial security . In 2020 , I can see anadult in their 90s having independent parents who not need their children to take care of them financially. I can feel how free they are , they don’t have to worry much about their parents financially .

I came from the 80s . My dad force retired at around age 50 plus . Due to his company close down , he worked odd jobs . I spend on $120 of my pocket money every month for my groceries, eating out , clothes . Frankly speaking , it’s always my then boyfriend paid for all the dates . When I started out working at age 21 , I have to financial support my 2 brothers who is still in school and I also have to help to pay for my house expenses at age 21 . I think this is quite normal for people birth in their 70s and 80s .

But to me, when I see all my friends don’t have the burden of carrying the home finances, I really envy them . Even now , I see my friends who’s parents are in the same age as my parents who is in the 60s-70s , but their parents are financially independent. When their parents are still paying the household and groceries expenses themselves. I can see this kind of children will have the freedom to live whatever kind of life they want and not be burden by having to find a job and work to support their parents .

I am not saying that children should not take care of their parents during old age . I am saying that thinking of having a child takes a lot of responsibility and the intention to bring a child to Earth is important !

Having children and did not plan for your own retirement is an selfish and irresponsible act as a parents . This is what I feel , a lot of people having children might disagree to what I am saying , but I am a child whom came from a family I needed to support since young age , I think this is not fair for the child.

Nowadays, I heard from my younger generation friends that there is a forum complaining about why their parents wanted to bring them to Earth to suffer and they feel that it is not fair to them .

Personally , I don’t think bringing a child to experience Earth is a bad thing . But , HELLO PARENTS , PLS KNOW HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF PHYSICALLY, FINANCIALLY AND EMOTIONALLY FIRST BEFORE YOU BRING A CHILD TO EARTH !!!!

A child is not your ego booster , a child is not your retirement tool , a child is not your emotional punching bag , a child is not your emotional security . Most important , a child is still a innocent child who wants to enjoy Earth as happy as he/she can while growing up
