I just saw an post on Facebook : A man buy a Lab-Grown Diamond for his girlfriend for the proposal. but after the girlfriend found out that it is lab-grown , the girlfriend wanted the man to exchange for a Earth-Grown Diamond.

Since young I always love diamond. I agreed that woman have been conditioned since young that “Diamonds are girl’s best friend ” It is really a very successful marketing campaign which conditioned Woman for generations.

I belong to the Millennium generation, I still love diamond over other precious stones because of the brilliant of an diamond. Recently the trend of lab grown diamond is growing and many people are getting more awareness of a lab grown diamond.

But there is still something in my mind that , although the composition of a lab grown is same as earth grown diamond . In my heart , I feel that most of Woman still prefer earth grown diamond.

Just use natural made waterfall vs man made water falls , most people would still prefer a natural made waterfall because of the wonders of how Mother Nature created all these.

I am not saying that lab grown diamond is not good as a proposal ring. I am saying as a Woman point of view , I feel that it is better for you to discuss this topic first if you have intention to propose to her in the future. Because Woman would like to wear their proposal ring on a daily basis , if something that we intended to wear it everyday , it must be something that we really love. Therefore buying a proposal ring is really really important for some woman. Because a proposal ring have to match your future wife’s lifestyle and her fashion style.

if your woman is the kind who don’t like accessorise herself , then she might not find that proposal ring is important and she would prefer the money to be put to better use , like home renovation , child education etc.

It is the same as your girlfriend buy an expensive Watch for you , definitely it have to be a watch which you really like right. Why spend so much money in the end buy a watch that you don’t like. So this is the same feeling for Woman , that’s why I strongly suggest to discuss about the proposal ring you intend to buy with her first, unless she shut you off and say she love anything you buy and she would like to be surprise.

Because it is really sad to see the comments on people saying those woman who prefer a specific kind of proposal ring as materialistic woman. This is not fair for those Woman who have their own standard of living and fashion style.

Never judge someone just because this person have expensive taste, always look deeper.

To those man who buy a lab grown diamond and the future wife is not really happy about it. Communicate with her if you really love her, for something that she wearing everyday , I think she deserve to get what she love.

Think twice before you put your comment and hurt the relationship of both of you . Because people who are online commenting only see the story that you posted . This is not fair for the woman side
